A Brooklyn man was arrested in connection to an early-morning assault that left two men injured in Manhattan last week.
Jahkim Hayward, 25, was cuffed for his alleged role in a stabbing in front of 676 Avenue of the Americas. According to police, at 3:55 a.m. on July 31, four men got into a verbal dispute with a 23-year-old man.
The dispute turned physical and one of the suspects stabbed the victim in the right side of his chest as well as another 23-year-old man victim, who attempted to intervene, in the left side of his abdomen. The suspects then fled on foot, northbound on Avenue of the Americas. Both victims were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue in stable condition.
Hayward was taken into custody on Aug. 5 and charged with felony assault. The rest of the suspects remain at large. The investigation remains ongoing.
