How to stay in the cottage from ‘The Holiday’

The holidays are just around the corner — and one of America’s favorite romcoms, “The Holiday,” is set to become a reality.

Beginning in the fall of 2023, you can stay in a nearly exact replica of Cameron Diaz’s English getaway, known as the Rosehill Cottage.

Only the exterior of the English cottage was filmed in the 2006 movie. As is typical in the entertainment industry, the interior of the house was actually built in a Hollywood studio soundstage.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t get a taste of the cozy idyllic scenery.

Lucy Small, of the Georgia-based home design company State and Season, decided to embark on the mission of recreating the cottage after noticing an overwhelming demand online.

“If you stay there, I want you to feel like it’s an old cottage in the English countryside and Jude Law might knock on the door at any minute,” Small told Bustle.

Located in the Atlanta area, Small said she still made it so it would maintain that “small-town feel,” by teaming up with builders, architects and engineers to make the home as accurate as possible.

Some alterations were made.

Although in the film it’s a one-bedroom home — one owned by Kate Winslet’s character when she decides to swap with Diaz’s character’s home in California — this rental will be a three-bedroom.

Features include woodburning fireplaces, wooden beams, English pottery, a library and lots of English tea.

The cottage will officially open on Oct. 1, 2023. Reservations will open on Dec. 1, 2022.

Rates start at $290 per night.
