This year, 92 nominees, coming from 46 high school musical theatre awards competitions across the U.S., competed in The Jimmy Awards at the Minskoff Theatre in Manhattan.
It’s the first time in three years that the event took place in person.
The show featured dynamic ensemble and solo performances, and culminated with the presentation of awards.
Nicholas Baron and Kendall Becerra won awards for best performances by an actor and actress. They both received scholarships for $25,000.
The winners were chosen by a panel of industry experts.
Nominees prepared for the show during an intensive seven-day training program that included coaching and rehearsals led by some of Broadway’s most accomplished professionals.
